Silver End 100th Anniversary

This year marks a truly special milestone for Silver End as the village celebrates its 100th anniversary. Founded in 1926 by industrialist Francis Henry Crittall as a pioneering garden village, Silver End has grown from a visionary community into the thriving and close-knit village we know and love today. Over the past century, generations of residents have helped shape its unique character, rich heritage and strong community spirit, making this centenary year a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the village’s remarkable history and look ahead to its future.

To celebrate this historic occasion, a variety of events are taking place from 19th June, bringing together residents, local organisations and visitors to honour Silver End’s past and present. From heritage talks and guided walks to community celebrations, exhibitions and special anniversary events, there are plenty of opportunities for people of all ages to get involved and be part of this once-in-a-lifetime celebration. The centenary is not only a chance to recognise 100 years of history, but also to celebrate the strong sense of community that continues to make Silver End such a special place to call home.
